ANTI-RAGGING COMMITTEE

The Anti-Ragging Committee is established to prevent, monitor, and respond to incidents of ragging within the institution. It upholds the commitment to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment, free from any form of harassment, intimidation, or abuse.

FUNCTIONS

  • Implement and enforce anti-ragging policies in accordance with institutional, state, and national guidelines (e.g., UGC regulations in India).
  • Educate students and staff about the definition, consequences, and reporting mechanisms related to ragging.
  • Investigate reported cases of ragging with fairness, confidentiality, and urgency.
  • Recommend appropriate disciplinary actions based on investigation outcomes.
  • Organize awareness campaigns, orientation programs, and counseling sessions to prevent ragging.
  • Maintain a supportive grievance redressal system for victims and witnesses.
