Inaugural Function of Alumni Association

The inaugural function of the Alumni Association of Alva’s College of Nursing and Alva’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Moodbidri was held on
30/08/2025 at Alva’s College of Nursing Auditorium with great enthusiasm and participation from alumni, faculty, and current students.
The event marked a significant milestone in strengthening the bond between the institution and its former students.

The function commenced at 10.00 am with a warm welcome address by
Prof. Renuka, the Vice-Principal/HOD of the Medical Surgical Nursing Department.
The welcome speech highlighted the importance of alumni in shaping the future of the institution and encouraged active involvement in future initiatives.

A ceremonial lighting of the lamp followed, symbolizing the beginning of a bright and collaborative journey.
Distinguished guests, Ms. Sujaya Kotian (Associate Professor, K. Pandyrajah Ballal College of Nursing, Mangalore),
Dr. B. A. Yathikumara Swamy Gowda (Principal, Alva’s College of Nursing), and
Mrs. Shaila Maria Dsouza participated in the ritual.

The Principal, Dr. B. A. Yathikumara Swamy Gowda, delivered the presidential address,
emphasizing the institution’s growth over the years and the valuable role alumni play in mentoring students, facilitating industry connections,
and contributing to development. He also introduced the new office bearers of the association.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Gracy Veera Castelino,
expressing gratitude to the guests, alumni, faculty, and students who contributed to the success of the program.
