WOMEN’S WELFARE COMMITTEE

The Women’s Welfare Committee is constituted to safeguard the rights, dignity, and well-being of women within the institution. The committee is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for women through awareness, support services, and policy advocacy.

  • Promote gender equality and empower women through education, training, and outreach programs.
  • Address issues related to discrimination, harassment, or inequality affecting women in the institution.
  • Develop and recommend policies related to safety, health, and the overall welfare of women.
  • Organize seminars, workshops, and campaigns on topics such as gender sensitization, self-defense, leadership, and health awareness.
  • Offer support and referral services for counseling, legal aid, or grievance redressal in cases of harassment or abuse.
  • Collaborate with internal committees like the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) or POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) unit.
